THE PSYCHOLOGY OF HOME DESIGN

BY

Meni Horowitz

The best thing is, we don’t need a big budget.

I’m an expert in completing unique, tailor-made projects at a reasonable budget.

HARMONY

Each item in our home has a story: a period of time from which it came from and its country of origin. We don’t even realize how many different cultures our home embodies through our items! The beauty is in taking all these cultures and creating a connection between them, which in turns gives the space a harmonious vibe.

FUNCTION

Every item  in your space should cater to your lifestyle. A single woman will need a different space from that of a young family. By items I’m referring to anything from furniture, to storage, to decor.

SOUL

Three key elements that create the mood in your home are: plants, art and lighting. Plants are living things that ignite energy in our space. Art inspires us and evokes emotion and memories. And well-chosen, well-placed lighting sources can generate coziness or motivation, based on each room’s needs.

YOU

Your home needs to reflect you! Oftentimes when we renovate, we think we have to start over. But it’s not about throwing everything out! It’s about enhancing your surroundings while keeping the meaningful tokens and items that you’ve collected throughout your journey. We’ll find a way to connect the old you to the new you.

Design has never felt like work to me. It comes to me as naturally as breathing. I am so happy to be able to share this talent with people around me.”

“You love aesthetics and beautiful items. You want  your space to be the reflection of that - your happy place. Right now it’s tired and generic. But there’s hidden potential there.”
